Our local Junior A hockey team, the Kemptville 73’s, is well into another season!
The 12-team league is made up of close-by regional teams, such as Brockville, Smiths Falls, Nepean, Ottawa, and Renfrew to name a few. They play a schedule of 55 games and have 33 in the books already. With the top eight teams making it to the playoffs, the team (currently sitting in ninth place) is just shy of securing a playoff spot.
The goal tending duo of Jacob Biron and Alex Musielak make an imposing pair with both standing over 6’3”. Nine rostered players come from the Ottawa area. Our leading scorers are Hunter Brazier with 29 points, Nicholas Bennett with 26 points, and Emile Trottier adding 25 points.
All home games take place at the North Grenville Municipal Center with beer from Craft Brewery on sale during the games.
